cold boat storage?

If I am not mistaken batteries are stored in a chilled warehouse fully charged. I was told by my Interstate guy to trickle charge and keep them cold. Heat is the enemy with batteries unless the charge runs down then electrolyte can freeze and leak. I followed his advise and get 4 or 5 years on my trolling batteries.

If you not going to have access to the boat I would definitely pull the batteries and give them a charge 2-3 times over the winter.

If you decide that you are going to leave them in the boat I would atleast disconnect everything from the batteries.
