Scoring on the hoof.

Been reviewing the archive of game camera picks I have been accumulating and ran across this big boy. Although most likely dead of old age, this monster lived for a time in our woods. Got a few pics of him during late summer, and then he vanished. Never heard of anyone taking him (at least legally).

Any guess to how he would have scored? He was in velvet when these were taken.

My guess would be in the 165-170 range. A dandy for sure.

I seen a pic of one shot someplace near DL this weekend that looks alot like that one, it was HUGE.

Its tough to see how big his 4's are... but I would agree with pace that hed have no problem making 165 or 170! Reguardless of score, he displays himself as a very mature deer, buck of a lifetime in my opinion! Thanks for sharing!

I am going to disagree and say 140-150. It is extremely tough to get any kind of judgement on a deer when they are in velvet. He is definitely a shooter no doubt, but I don't think he had 160 and I am normally high on my estimates.

That deer is going 160+. Look at the length. I know its velvet but he is TALL on G1-G3. Hard to tell but he might have ended up as a 12 point based on what it looks like in first pic. And it was still July.
