electronic deer calls?

Recommended Posts

I am not sure about that Archery Sniper. It was a few years ago that we got the wireless remote calls legal for predator hunting but nothing about big game being allowed for it. A call to St. Paul would answer your question better then us speculating here on the internet

Yes a call to St.paul will be the way to get the correct answer. The only place electronic call are stated as being illegal is page 30 of the waterfowl regulations.

This question was brought up during my moose hunting orientation by another hunter and the conservation office stated they were legal for moose hunting. I also brought this question up not to a CO but a friend that works closely with the DNR when I saw the electronic estrous can call and was told they are legal as long as they are handheld, Take it for what it's worth and make the call they might be legal and we might not know.

I saw this in the regulations book.

Radios and Other Wireless Devices

• Using walkie talkies, cell phones, remote control or other radio equipmentto take big game or small game is unlawful.

So I would say using an electronic call is illegal.

I stand corrected I emailed the DNR and they said that they are LEGAL. If the call is NOT remote controlled.
