Was out last Sat and it was great.

3 19"

1 17"

6 16"

a lot of lil guys

3 pike which 1 was nice

and a 15" walleye

Too bad my trailer and lower unit have issues or I would be out more, but I think that was the last trip for my rig until repairs are done.

Sunday was pretty brutal with the wind, especially where I was in Wisconsin. When the gusts are up around 40-50mph, there's really not a lot you can do for boat control. I tried to fish the calm side of the lake but nothing was there. I'm sure with 3 straight days of howling west winds the fish were stacked on the other shore.

This past saturday, I was out on a TC lake from 7am-3pm. My friends and I caught a bunch of 1lbers', 2lbers, 3lbers, and (3) 4lbers. Biggest was at 4lbs 12ounces. Almost all the fish were caught on lipless cranks and KVD sexy shad at 10ft. Most bass were caught in 8-10ft deep. jigs worked really well too. Just pitch it into any cover you see.

Last time I was out about a week and half ago I found fish still on a rock point I do well on in summer but instead of being in the boulders near the tip they were closer to the shorline on an inside turn. No fish in the pads only one fish off a dock. Water was still low 60s then, what is everyone reading right now?

I'm still fishing from shore in rivers and getting into the rivers with waders. About two weeks ago I was out when it was sprinkling a little out and got a 5lb small mouth bass. I didn't know that around this area that a 5lbs was worth mounting. Now I wished I would have mounted it. O well maybe I'll catch it again next year. The best part was I caught it on a top water 4 1/2 inch zara spook, which was sweet as heck. When it was coming in I thought it was a 20 + northern or a small muskie, but when that thing came in I was amazed and just couldn't believe what I had caught. Sad part was I forgot the good camera and could only take a picture of it on my crappy phone camera. Hopefully I can still catch some this weekend.

I am up fishing the Brainerd area for MEA weekend. The bass were going pretty good today on spinnerbaits. Nothing else worked for me. We make a trip every year over MEA and the bass always seem to be biting.

Here's weird for you: we chose to fish a smaller lake to stay out of the heavier wind and bigger waves...then we tried to fish the downwind side of the lake on the same theory you mention...not a a single bite.

So we tried the points where the wind was blowing waves past them and got a couple...and I sort of casually tossed a bait into calmer water further back in the bay and WHAM...fish on.

Every fish we got the rest of the day was in calm water, either right up on shore, under lily pads or under rafts of dead leaves floating on the water.

Was out for about seven hours in the Vergas area today, a bit breezy but still great to be out this late. Landed around twenty between my boy and I. Crankbaits,spinnerbaits,jig/pig and jig/worm worked for us in the reeds/cabbage and wood less than 15 ft. Not an outstanding day but every fish is kinda special now, woulda liked to fished deeper but to dang windy. Hopefully won't be last time out.

Fished yesterday, what a beautiful fall day, made me keep the boat alive for at least one more week.

Fished a couple metro lakes. First lake was dead, fished 9-1 and only caught one fish and it was off a dock I stopped at on my way back to the boat launch. Switched lakes started fishing docks with jigs and a sunfish swimbaits and started catching fish right away. Every dock had 100+ sunnies under it. I guess the predators were following the sunnies because I was having good luck with bass, even had a solid muskie on for a bit and several other 'ski follows. Biggest bass was a chunky fish just shy of 20"

Tried jigs and cranks deep, 10+ fow, but only caught pike.

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
