Bows for my girls?

I have a couple of teen age girls who want to get into bow hunting. any ideas on where to get a inexpensive bow or does someone have a old bow(small) for cheap.

Diamond RazorEdge would be one suggestion. They come in pink too! I don't think "inexpensive bow" and Mathews Jewel go together very well.

Parker Buckshot Extreme also comes in Pink or Camo and has MSRP for a "package" with sights and rest for under $300. Awesome bow. My wife and both of my kids have one.

Up until a couple years ago there weren't many bows designed for young or small-framed archers, especially ones that aren't toys, so there are few used bows out there. That being said there are a few out there, but you will need to search online and at the bowshops that sell used stuff.

As you can see by the above recommendations, there are many bows out there that fit the bill. If they just want to learn archery, than there are tons of bows, including the genesis bows that are great for learning and getting comfortable with a compound. If you want a bow then can hunt with, then you need to research the bows.

Again, I suggest the Mission bows. They are high quality, super adjustable and full of features.

My 13 year old son picked up a used Diamond Razor Edge at a pawn shop a couple of months ago. Very nice bow! I think he paid $230 and they threw in a nice hard case. It is very adjustable in both draw length and poundage. (and you don't need a bow press to adjust the draw length) He has it set at 45 lbs now. He shouldn't need another bow for many years as it goes up to 60 lbs.

yep diamond razor edge - buddy's fiance has it and it is an awesome little bow, goes from 30 to 60 pound draw, so superb for working your way up to a better draw weight or for growing kids

I use a Parker Phoenix. Great bow..good luck to your girls! Bow hunting is by far my favorite kind of hunting!

Do you need R or L handers (are they right or left eye dominant?), and what kind of draw length and weight are you talking?
