I'd pick up a Rem 700 every time, but I'm very partial to them. Next choice for me would be the Tikka.

I have the tika T3 lite in a 25-06. My favorite gun I have ever shot. Light, accurate as the dickens, and just a nice overall feel to the gun. I had the first one in our hunting party and two others liked it enough to also buy tikas.

I personally love savages with the accutrigger......that being said, the browning with a pistol grip sounds intriguing, my slug gun, squirrel laser gun (17hmr), and my AR have a pistol grip. It feels awkward at first but to me, it is a more natural feel when I shoot to have that pistol grip or thumbhole stock.....Comfort and fit is crucial

Like others have already stated, buy what fits YOU best. Put on your hunting clothes, grab a notebook, and go shopping. Don't overlook any brands at this point. Just shoulder everything a bunch of times and see what feels most natural, and what "points" the easiest for you. Narrow it down to two or three and then look at reputation, quality, etc.

If you treat it right, pretty much any new rifle you buy will be more accurate than you are. They will also pretty much all be dependably accurate to minute-of-deer.

I've got a Tikka M595 in .308 and I love it. I've never missed a deer. Whatever you choose, they are quality rifles and I'm sure you will not be disappointed.

I got the Vanguard in 7mm-08 but in the carbine 20 inch barrel. Sweet shooting killing machine.
