GM Quality

Has the quality of the newer GM vechicles gotten any better the last few years? I am looking to replace 2 mid 2000's GM vechicles that I think are steaming piles of "". One is a 2006 montana van and the other a 2004 silverado. I like the style of GM but don't want to deal with the same problems.

I have a 2009 Silverado short box crew.

Has the flex fuel system and a 6-speed Allison and all the other totally cool stuff. Added ARE topper and the GM seat covers which are spendy but are totally Lab proof and fit like a glove. Best riding truck I've ever owned; rides better and is more comfortable than most cars made now.. No troubles at all and just turned 50,000. Can't ask for more than that. It is a VERY nice truck.

So I work at ford and I am impressed with their products, but i would suggest that you do some research and test drive a whole bunch of vehicles.

I would put money that your chevy. does not ride as nice as a new SVT Raptor. I think it rides better than any car ford produces.

I want a Raptor so bad. Nicest looking pickup I have ever seen. Yes, EVER seen. Best thing about them- they aren't making too many, so you don't see a bazillion of them when you drive around.

What truck is this? I thought they only put the Allison in HD's with the Duramax? (They also put it in trucks with the now defunct 8.1L)

They also do alot of stuff normal, run of the mill trucks don't do. Plus, now they only come with a 6.2. Thats amore!

Surely you are joking about that truck. I meant a truck for civilized people. That truck is a specialized duty machine....yeah it's cute and yeah it is macho beyond beyond but 98% of the folks in this Forum don't need that truck.

THAT is why they are making so few of them. LOL.

They are making so few because it is a SVT vehicle, and any vehicle made by their SVT team are usually put out in limited runs.
