Steve Foss
That Tgiving Day game is going to be VERY interesting!
Steve Foss
Man, that was close. Wasn't hard to find the Packers' weaknesses (mostly defense) when Rodgers had a down day. Glad we got the W!
RiverFish
Man, that was close. Wasn't hard to find the Packers' weaknesses (mostly defense) when Rodgers had a down day. Glad we got the W! I love having those down days with 299yds passing, 3 TDs, 1 int, and 28 on the ground. I'll take that as a down day any day 10-0 baby, Go Pack. I can't wait till Thursday, one set of in-laws are Lions fans.

It's the durn defense that keeps giving me heart attacks!
SkunkedAgain
As a football fan, I'll take these close games over the Vikings blow-out any day.
CJH
Good win, if not the prettiest thing. Jordy is turning into a stud. As mentioned, the D is a little shaky yet. Bring on Turkey Day!!Neal made it through w/out any problems w/ his knee. Zombo (hammy) should be back for the Lions, unless they get cautious with him and hold him out until the Giants. (He has been running/sprinting on the field for a week)
SkunkedAgain
I'm going out on a limb to predict that our Packers will lose to the Lions this Thursday. In my mind, it's going to come at some point so it might as well be now. The Lions found their courage again and have a pretty good team. The D-line will own the underperforming Packers offensive line giving the Lion defensive backs a few opportunities to pick some rushed throws from Rodgers. It won't be pretty but I like to be bold in my predictions.
JosMN
I'm a little worried about us this week. Our defense, if they can get in that groove that we have seen a couple times this year where they are flying to the ball and getting to the QB we will be fine. Seems like they have stepped up at the right times this year, just cant put together a fully great defensive game minus against the vikings at our house. I thought they were going to turn it around after that, but then they have a bad week after that. We need to get up big like we have been this year, but then D up! Our line HAS to give Rodgers time, We all know we are going to score points, but the Lions can put up points too. Has anyone heard anything on Starks? I see Finley having a big game this week. He's due.
Steve Foss
Another way to look at our defensive performance is to acknowledge it has performed as well as needed to win 10 times in a row. Some weeks that's been more demanding than others. Thursday is going to be very demanding against a team with such a strong offense. So, I'm predicting nothing, but durn I want the Pack to win! CJH
Has anyone heard anything on Starks? I see Finley having a big game this week. He's due. From the GBPG:Written byKareem CopelandGreen Bay Press-GazetteGreen Bay Packers running back James Starks sustained a knee bruise and an ankle injury during Sunday’s 35-26 win against the Buccaneers, but coach Mike McCarthy said it isn’t as bad as first thought.“He’s sore,” McCarthy said Monday. “We’re going to see what he can do tomorrow at practice. He feels like it’s a little bit more like a normal day after the game. We’ll see how he goes tomorrow.”Looks like we dodged a bullet with Starks (it was originally believed to be a knee ligament injury). I wouldn't be surprised to see them hold him out this week though.Jennings has a knee bruise as well, and didn't play much in the second half, but is expected to play in Detroit. The Lions will be tough, their D line & Calvin Johnson are scary good. I wouldn't consider it much of an upset if they lost.

SkunkedAgain
Starks, Jennings, Newhouse, and Zombo all practiced yesterday. Word was that the doctors told Starks that his physical structure saved him from tearing his knee. Specifically, Starks is bowlegged and they told him that is what likely was the difference between him spraining his knee and tearing it. goblueM
As a Lions fan I'm fairly certain the Pack is going to win tomorrow. If the Lions start out slow at all, the Pack will bury them. They won't be able to pull another big comeback. I'll just settle for a close game... tired of Thanksgiving letdowns.

Steve Foss
Not a surprising first half. Neither team is playing its best. In fact, if I didn't know better, I'd say they look just like teams that have only had 3 days rest instead of 6. Hmmmmm. Hope the Pack can stay healthy!!!! GatorBait
Well, not a surprising end to a game. The Packers won, yet again. Packer Nation is hopping today.
snoozebutton
A good win but the injuries are mounting. Yesterday it was Bishop. Hawk, and Sitton, 3 pretty critical players. Hopefully none of them is serious but we won't know until later today or maybe not until Monday. It was good to see Starks get in for a few plays and Saine didn't look too bad in the few plays he was in on. Also a Mike Neal sighting but he didn't do a whole lot. I think that's just him not being in "football" shape yet. BTW, I saw an interesting stat, the Packers have never lost a game where the National Anthem was screwed up. SkunkedAgain
I was happy to be wrong about predicting a Packer loss. As for injuries, don't forget that Starks reinjured his knee and that Walden got knicked as well. The Packers will need every day of this ten day mini-bye-week to get healthy. Kudos to Francois and Smith to play excellent at ILB. On top of that, neither had the radio signals in their helmets so they had to read hand signals from the sidelines to call the plays. That's a tall order for backups (one of whom is a rookie) to do on top of playing their first snaps.
mrklean
Not a bad game glad to see suh get kicked out hope he gets a nice suspension out of it trying to stay balanced what a joke
GatorBait
Can tell Suh is still a spoiled kid, can't live up to his mistakes. Anyone in there right mind can tell he wasn't trying to leave the situation. I honestly don't think he's all there with the kind of blabbering he came up with to try to make him look like the good guy.
reinhard1
in normal life, a action such as that would leave you with an assault charge. but in the pro buisness, law's dont apply. a suspension or fine and everything is fine. good luck. reinhard1
the game of football has rules, and kicking someone in the groin or stomping on someone's arm are not part of football and should not be condoned. you could say the same thing about hockey. checking is part of the game, but using your stick to slash or wack someone in the head is not. i'm not against a hard hitting game of football but if you watched the "thug" action by the Detroit player, most fans i'm sure were disgusted by that behaviour. good luck. hawgchaser
I don't mean to stray from the Suh incident, which I believe (along with his previous incidents) warrants a multi-game suspension. But...Is it time for the Packers to focus on team health going into the playoffs? I seems to me that Baltimore helped give the Pack., short of a series of extraordinary events, a near guarantee of home field throughout the playoffs. Would "laying up" tend to disrupt the team's rhythm.
