what size hole for 4x4 house

hi i,m building a 4x4 spear house what size would you reccomend for the spear hole i'm thinking 20 inch by 24 inch any suggestions

the bigger the better, what i would do is mark a 4x4 area then mark a area for a hole and see if you will have enough room or if you could go bigger

I have a 4x5 and have the hole going across the 4ft way, my hole is 42x30 I agree bigger is better!

laska you liked the one in my house didnt ya Thats about the same as my perm and my portable is 28x42

im going to be building a 4x4 also my hole will be 24 x 36 with the hole in the corner. the 12" next to it is for the heater. the other 24" is bench and foot room.
