Most of my snell lengths that I either made myself or bought, are in the 2-3 foot range.
So I figured if I want to use a longer one, I would just take another piece of mono , put the loop on one end and tie a small snap swivel on the other end and just add it between my bottem bouncer(or slip sinker and snapswivel)and my lindy,or spinner rig, (or whatever I'm useing).

Does anyone else do this, or will it not run right with too many snap swivels in there?
or what do you do to adjust snell length without haveing to tie a bunch of different lengths?
thanks

I try to keep as few knots as possible in my rigs. Less things to go wrong and it would also seem that it should gather less weeds, muck, slop ect. I pretie a few for night fishing convenience but other wise I like to tie them on the water when I can see water clarity and or adjust to what a friend maybe trying.
I'm no tournament angler, I live to fish not fish to live so this is just my .02.

I would not recomend tying anymore knots in the line than possible. While most knots have been perfected and maintain line strength, it is still the weekest link in the rig. Many companies sell the 5-6 foot snells and they can be shortened up if needed. I prefer to tie my own snells, by tying your own you can make various lengths and use different colors and sizes of hooks depending on the application.
