Here she is. Can sure do a heck of a lot with this little boat... lake, river, cats, eyes, muskies, trolling, casting, anchoring. smile

Been a good bang for the buck after all the customization.

Here is my river rig I just picked up Saturday. Been out with it twice now and I love it. Has a Sea Doo jet ski motor and jet drive mounted in it. I was going to build one myself but at the price I got it for, I could not even buy all the parts and pieces.

Ive seen two alumacraft fisherman boats on this thread and I would love to have one. Ive already got a 20 hp motor just need the boat and trailer. How do you guys like the boat?

I really like mine. it has a smooth ride. it will get up and go. I prefered the side console over a tiller model. since you have a 20HP you would want to stick to the tiller model of the fisherman. If you were to go to a side console then you would want to go with a 40HP. A 20 or 25 HP on a side console would bog down with more than one person in the boat(by yourself you may be okay). this is what the dealer told me. plus the price difference was less than $1000.00 between the 25HP on the original package and the upgrade to the 40HP that I went with.

Hey I live in Monticello also. I would love to see your rig in person sometime if you are ever at one of the river accesses around Monticello let me know maybe we could meet up. I normally fish out at montissippi but have fished ellison park also. email me at the address in my signature line and maybe we could set something up.

i love my alumacraft! i chose the tiller because, i troll often for walleyes. i also get more room in the boat for gear or more people. one of my favorite features is how the boat drifts...all i have to do is turn the boat to whichever side i want to jig on, and the boat will kick 90 degrees from the wind and stay at that angle...really cool. i like my Yamaha, but would prefer an Evinrude e-tec 25hp. the trolling motor is incredible...very quiet and plenty powerful.
