Have about 200lbs of chocolate cream chease frosting. Been trying to figure out how distribute at the crib to make it last longer without using it up quickly cause its in forty lb plastic bag in a carboard box. Figured id transfer the bags of frosting in buckets, then fill up my jerkey shooter an distribute amounts at the site however much I want.

Boar. I wouldnt do nothing with it. Dont want to lose the consistancy. USE IT ONLY once an awhile as a treat. It will want them to compete to see who gets the to the goodies first not knowing if its thier lucky day or not!! Maybe a little more when closer to the time to lay the hammer down!!

Yea 57, thats why its in the jerky shooter, then I can ditribute the disired amounts. bear are opportunistic gluttons, their system is designed for survival, the countless buckets of sugar laiden bait of doughnuts, grease, gummie bears, liqourice, tootsie roll chunks, dont chasse them away chocolate aint gonna do it either, something else spooked him, natural forage, chnge in routine. Had a bear take a 40 lb scent ball of nothing but pure sugar an karo syrup an came back, tummy ache? dont think so. Atually thought of that arch, figured id get a my turkey fryer an heat up the frosting adding milk to thin it out then dump it in the oats, Id get a huge batch of coco pebbles. Have a good bud thats going back to college an he wont have time this year so he gave me his stash, you can go on line lunger, an find all kinds of stuff, wen im not bear hunting im cruzing for bait, i dont shut down wen the seasons over, ice fishing fills the void but it just gives me time to think about bear hunting an baiting.later baor

Maybe you could bake some homemade bread and inject the frosting into the center. It would be like a supersized long jon grin. Or some old french bread, you get the drift. I would also do like you are thinking and slather the crib with the frosting. Oh how I wish I would have been drawn this year. All this talk is getting me going, may have to go south to the no-qouta at the hunting shack.

I have used frosting in the past and it works well. I mixed it with bread in a bucket. Too much frosting and the bears would push it to the side to get at the rest. I also had pails of jelly or preserves that I mixed with the bread that year and it worked realy well. I just would not put it out plain or by itself.
