Buying an I-pilot, need advice

I just purchased a Lund 1825 Explorer. I still need to purchase a bow mount trolling motor and have decided the Terrova I-pilot is the way to go. I'm just wondering what shaft size I should go with. Minn Kota only offers the factory installed I-pilot in 45 and 60 inch lengths with the 24 volt unit. Is the 45" long enough? Or should I just go with the 60"? I'm sure it's probably ok to go with the longer one but then it's just more motor to pull in and out of the water if the 45 is long enough. Thanks!

Not to go with the crowd or anything, but I faced the same decision when I got mine. Decided on the 60" and I'm sure I won't be disappointed. Better to have the extra 15" and not need it to not have it at all.
