Some birds and flowers.

I had the day off today so I drove over to Whitewater State Park. There were yellow-rumped warblers everywhere! It was a cold, cloudy and windy day but I survived. It's always nice to get out.

I do not have a Minnesota wildflower book so I have no idea what these next 2 flowers are. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Both yellow-rumpeds are top notch environmental portraits in sweet muted light. The second with the bonus berry is nice, but for me the first is the greater composition. I wouldn't crop a single pixel out of the existing comp. If it were mine I'd just print, mat, frame and brag about it. smile

First flower is a pasqueflower (Anemone patens). Second is a round-lobed hepatica (Hepatica americana or Anemone americana).
