Deer ticks galore already

Last week I found 2 deer ticks crawling on my dog(Brie). I was a bit shocked.

Tonight we have pulled 6 more off of her.

I happened to call the guy that trained Brie today regarding some other stuff and he said that the vet he works with has had 6 cases of Lyme disease already this spring.

He was locking down all the dogs he has at his facility today and putting Frontline on all of them.

Anyone else seeing this?

Ya...yesterday I took a walk in the woods, came home had 2 deer ticks on me. Looks like a big population this year. Had lyme's disease last fall. mad really don't want to go through that again!

started the frontline on the 2nd; how does it work for ticks as far as repelling or do they bite on and die after awhile? I believe it takes 24hours for the lyme disease to kick in (humans any way) found another deer tick walking on the dogs coat yesterday

my daughter found two ticks while training her pup yesterday in the prior lake area but she said they were not deer ticks. is a product like frontline for example ok on a pup less than a year old? or they have different doses for pups? good luck.
