Question

Anyone know anyone or had any expeirence with the new rope a boat system? My grandpa is getting up there in age and he has problems getting his boat on the trailer. He talked about modifying his boat trailer but I saw this and told him about it. Does it really work?

according to their video you replace the loop on the bow of your boat with a special latch from them and then you are able to just drive up to this piece of equipment and it latches on . You have a remote in the boat with you and you turn the winch on and off with it.

I saw it on a trailer at a dealership I was at. Looks like quite the contraption, but I did not like how the rope is resting against the hull of the boat when the boat is on the trailer, I would think the rope would bounce and rub up and down on the hull and paint.

Being in my mid 60's, I'm going to investigate this. My boat is a 1992 Lund 1775 Pro-V at 1192 lbs. empty. Even if I fish alone, with all the equipment, fuel, livewells, 3 batteries, 2 troolling motors, 75hp 4-stroke and a 240 lb. fisherman. Well over a ton.

Watched a sheriff at a boat landing last summer load his boat and it was pretty slick. I don't think it was this same product though. I believe he just had an electric winch with a remote. He pulled the boat up onto the the edge of the water at the ramp. Backed his trailer down to the boat and hooked up the rope. Got back in the truck with the remote and started winching and backing up slowly (pushing the boat into the water) at the same time and had it out of the water and on the trailer in no time. Hopped out, hooked up 2 straps and pulled the plug and away he went. Didn't barely lift a finger to do anything and had it loaded and on the road in less time than I can get mine on the trailer. Slickest thing I've ever seen. Remember thinking, Now that is something I would like to have. Just for the ease of loading and unloading. (Plus I can be a little lazy at times grin)

I have the same system for my boat. I have electric winch with remote to pull boat on trailer. This thing is really slick. You just hook the winch to boat and press the button on your remote. The winch also have manual handle in case your winch battery dies, but that never happens, I only charged my battery once last summer. I can't remember the name of winch though. May be i'll post that when I get home.

That system is interestting....But?

OK...I'm a bit confused a bit here yet?

Does the operator power it in and off, or is there a lock that captures the rope to pull it in with the winch?

I couldn't quite catch the capture mechanism in operation.

I'll watch it again a few times and try to "Get It".

if you are still in the boat you can help it along

i like that ladder to

keep the feet dry in the spring and fall

Looks like you gotta be right on target though. What about trailer being to deep or shallow does it adjust for that to?

Just deep enough to get on the rollers squarely and hit the mark is deep enough.

Most people have issues loading because they go in too deep to start with when loading. Then the boat wonders about or drifts back. I try to just get the rollers/bunks wet and then let them do the work of alignment.
