Congrats on the purchase Robert! I have the full size Showdown, and love it. Is it the best unit out there? Maybe not, but as far as I can tell, the only thing it could use is a battery life indicator of some sort.

I picked up a Troller to mainly use in my canoe, and as a second unit for the Mrs to use. She really likes the vertical display, I think the display's easier to understand for people who do not have much traditional flasher use.

It's awesome for following someone around who is popping a bunch of holes for depth check, a full size flasher works fine for that, but it's not nearly as handy as the Troller.

It has a low battery warning, which goes off when the battery is almost dead. What I would like is some sort of meter that tells me approximately how much charge is left. I'll just have to get an aftermarket meter and rig it to the unit myself.

Robert you have a sounder. The type of display is what differentiates between flasher or graph. Vertical display in your case.

You now have eyes for what is below you. Have fun with it.

The troller has 4000 watts of power and the full size has 8000 watts. The full size with the 5.6 has a dual beam ducer. And yes they work the same. The full size has a finer display and zoom capability.
