BB is right up there among the elite qb's in the league right now too. sometimes his stats don't look that great but he's one of those that if you give him the ball at the end of a game and they need a score, he gets it done often.

I noticed no packer fans have figured it out yet!

Packers fans have known what greatness is since 1961 and don't generally feel the need to prove themselves to Vikings fans, particularly since, due to their dismal Super Bowl performances, the Vikes' purple helmets should be sporting a large letter L.

Or heck, maybe in the near future those helmets will wear an L.A. gringrin

Well thats great! Current packers didn't even know that!

Yeah, saw that. Nice piece. Gives people with nothing better to do (frustrated Vikes and Bears fans) ammunition for Internet discussion forums. whistle

If you really care to read about what makes Green Bay tick, you might check out this story. Rick Reilly got it right.

Josh Sitton was named offensive lineman of the year.

Quote:
Guard Josh Sitton has won the first major honor of his three-year career with the Green Bay Packers.

A source with knowledge of the voting said Wednesday that Sitton has been selected as Offensive Lineman of the Year by the National Football League Alumni Association.

Sitton will be among the honorees Friday at NFL Alumni's 29th annual awards dinner at Union Station in Dallas.

The other finalists were tackle Jake Long of Miami and guard Jahri Evans of New Orleans. Last year, Minnesota guard Steve Hutchinson won.

Voting is by former NFL players by position. For example, the top offensive lineman was voted by former offensive linemen.

"He's played well," offensive coordinator Joe Philbin said Wednesday. "He's reliable. He played pretty much every snap this year. He's coming into his own and developing into a pretty good player."

Sitton started two games as a rookie in 2008, all 16 last season and all 19 this season, counting playoffs.

In 19 games, he has allowed two sacks: one against Detroit's Ndamukong Suh in which Tank McBride and Lawrence Jackson got credit for the sack, and one against Philadelphia's Trevor Laws when Keenan Clayton registered the sack.

On Sunday, Sitton will spend some of the Super Bowl matched against defensive end Ziggy Hood of Pittsburgh.

"He brings a lot of physicality to the game," Hood said Wednesday. "He looks very athletic and very powerful, and plays with a lot of great technique."

dont be hatin on MINNESOTANS

Everyone who pays attention on here knows I'm not a hater. I leave that to others, and there are plenty of them. I DO enjoy a good laugh now and then, particularly when someone says something really, really dumb. gringrin

Vikings fans deserve everything they have coming their way ("being rubbed in their eyes")!!!!! I am still waiting for the for the Vikings fans to back their nit-picking up with any sort of reason why they have any right opening their mouth to downgrade another team when theirs is so terrible? Especially one in the superbowl!

That would be like Jim Kleinsasser telling Tom Brady he is ugly, it just doesnt make any sense!!!!

This seems to be the same type post Steve would put up to throw fuel on a fire. 2c

Seems many just want to do as you say, throw it in others faces as the Pack made the play offs.

It's fine they made the play offs but to throw it around like they are a God is a issues you will need to deal with.

Well, that's a little stronger than my own view, but there's always room for another Packers fan. gringrin

I will say that being part of a rivalry is to some degree about taking and giving light-hearted carp. A person doesn't have to be a hater to stir the pot a little and take pleasure in the back-and-forth ribbing. It's when people start taking their football too seriously that trouble starts. I'm having a lot of fun with this these days and not taking anything personally. smilesmile

It's not the Packers I have a problem with...it's their fans.

I'd love to cheer on a fellow NFCN team but sadly the bulk of the Packer fans I come across are very poor winners.

Packer fans make Bears fans look like gracious winners.

I can't believe I cheered for them in the 1996 SB. If only I had known how many times that SB win would come back and slap me in the face I never would have done it.

There are arseholes and classy folks rooting for any team. I've found plenty of both among Vikes and Bears and Packers fans. I even married a Dallas fan once, but as you'd imagine, that did not last. gringrin

True, but most NFL fans are full of beer, cheese ans sausage. I'm thinking it's all the methane gas build up that brings out the best of the arseholes!.

A guy can get buy with one or two, but all three and it's like a full moon for the wearwolves.
