I am getting really excited about the GTG, if I need to bring some food to share just let me know. I am going to need some help getting my block out of the hole, I don't have a pair of ice tongs. So if someone has a pair that they can let me borrow when setting up or better yet help me get the block out I would really appreciate it. Hopefully one of you experienced guys can give me a few tips on how to pick a spot to set up as well.

Laska I am interested in possibly buying one of your decoys at the GTG if you have some on hand. I only have one decoy right now, so it would be good to add another one. That fire tiger northern of yours looks great by the way.

Thanks, I do have a saw and auger so should be able to get the hole cut if I take my time. Haven't cut through this much ice before, last time I was out there was only 16" I'm sure there is more now.

It just takes a little more time is all. When the ice gets thicker I get lazier and drill a few more holes.

You only need to cut three of the sides. Use your chisel on the fourth.

its always fun pulling a block of ice out that is over 2 feet thick laugh im more then happy to help as well, after hearing about BNS saw the other year i will help not let you use my tongs haha plus i always lost my on sunday

Ill be bringing extra decoys if anyone wants to try one and see how they swim.

I remember little long GTG and we had enough equip to make a sign saying "thanks fish" it was awsome Ive only missed I believe one GTG since its an awesome event thanks to HSO for letting us have this thread. Im getting pumped and hopefully I can get heidi to spear another pike!

I was planning on going to the banquet that night but tickets are all gone.... bummer!

Yes, there is only one place to be on friday and saturday. If I get my spear back by then. I think we should change behindthehead name to twiceinthetail. I think we should have a vote on that name change at the get to gether.
