I bought 4 of them the other night. For $22 after tax I hope they really are the cats meow. 2 glow and 2 regular packs. Corey, if you read this- why don't the glow come with the tacks? I have yet to use them and don't know if there's a reasoning for it.

Zamboni, the cost of adding the luminous dye for injection molding and the included luminous foam top cap is actually a bit more expensive than the cost of the pin-on weights included with our AFSK package. The glow dye is the very best available to our knowledge for injection molding and very expensive. We only use virgin dye and do not use reground plastic for the very best performance with our glow components.

The pin-on weights are designed to eliminate the need for sinkers on your line in any case that you don't wish to use sinkers. They offer seamless adjustment for smaller jigs and bait presentations and also add weight to the bobber for casting for open water use. I hope that helps!! smile

Yeah, about that how do you shut them off. grin Woke up in the middle of the night all droggy and a lite was emitting from my stone legacy bag took me a bit to wrap my mind around that it was the glo venom. Now they are set out on top of the bag for a night lite. smirk

you don't have to cut them to adjust them to be perfectly flush with the top of the water so the lightest bite the fish will not feel the bobber.

it is also nice to be able to switch from a smaller bait to something larger and only have to pull some foam out, instead of looking for the other bobber you cut earlier.

I fish with the small foam and the small pin on weight for about 90% of my pan fishing and adjust it up or down to have the perfect boy ency ,

or even negative boyency to have the bait fall as slow as I want through the fish that are suspended ,very cool you can't do that with the bobber

that you are using .

I use them the same way ,I love the fact that they can be used multiple ways with multiple jigs. I also love the Glow and the fact no batteries or grow sticks just charge with LED light or the UV light and they Glow for a long while very impressed.

I found mine in Lonsdale at the Hardware store. I will be using them this week a L.O.W. this week .

No...I just wondered how they are different from Ice Busters, other than the glow??

I thought the same thing as you and held off on them last year. Seeing them in action in an aquarium at the ice show showed me the light.

Other than the glow, they are infinitely adjustable. Well maybe not infinitely but you don't have to cut them just right for them to float just right and then need to switch because you tied on a lighter or heavier jig or put on a bigger or smaller minnow. Just slide the foam insert in and out from the holder.

I bought some venom floats this fall and have yet to catch a fish on one. But I rarely use a bobber. I have the rest of the weak off so my goal is to catch a nice walleye using one of these floats. I will post a picture on here if I catch one.

Alright... forgive the naivety here

Do you use a bobber stop with these things or what? I tossed a handful of stops in my ice tackle box with my venom float, but was thinking bout it and I have no idea if that;s what the deal is.

Thanks to whoever finds it in their heart to help an ice rookie smile

Yes you would use a bobber stop just like you would with any other slip bobber. I have been using the glow bobber and it works great for them times when your fishing into the night. Very good product and their customer service is great too.

Groovy... thanks!

I did not pick up the glow version when I was at the shop last weekend. I'll probably add that to the arsenal as I'll be doin more night fishin this time round.

Good product for sure. As someone said above, it's one of those "Why didn't I think of that" deals.

I haven't had a chance to try these yet. You know the sh*t, I just cut off to much of my Icebuster and now it's sinking. Sure you can stick a toothpick into the end of the foam, but still a hassle. One trick I do since jigs are fairly cheap is to take my needle nose and snip a tiny bit of lead off the jig so that you don't have to change Icebuster bobbers. The Venom sounds like a good idea though that I'll have to try.

    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
    • reviving an old thread due to running into the same issue with the same year of house. not expecting anything from yetti and I already have replacement parts ordered and on the way.   I am looking for some input or feedback on how to replace the leaf springs themselves.    If I jack the house up and remove the tire, is it possible to pivot the axel assembly low enough to get to the other end of the leaf spring and remove that one bolt?   Or do I have to remove the entire pivot arm to get to it? Then I also have to factor in brake wire as well then. What a mess   My house is currently an hour away from my home at a relatives, going to go back up and look it over again and try to figure out a game plan.           Above pic is with house lowered on ice, the other end of that leaf is what I need to get to.   above pic is side that middle bolt broke and bottom 2 leafs fell out here is other side that didnt break but you can see bottom half of leaf already did but atleast bolt is still in there here is hub assembly in my garage with house lowered and tires off when I put new tires on it a couple months ago. hopefully I can raise house high enough that it can drop down far enough and not snap brake cable there so I can get to that other end of the leaf spring.
