Maine Moose first day!

I got my Maine Moose on opening day. Worked our butts off getting it out. Dropped him in slash, blowdowns, stumps, deadfalls, and widowmakers. Took me and the wife 3 hours to get him 100 yards to a tote road. Five hours from shot till back at the camper. Snowing,dark and cold. Saw 8 Moose opening day. 4 bulls and 4 cows. 2 bulls came out while we were getting ready to haul mine out! This is the 5th Moose hunt I have been on and without a dought the most work ever. He is now resting at the meat cutters.

I gotta ask how in the heck did you and your wife get that beast 100 yards? My goodness I can imagine my wife helping me quarter one up but dragging a moose 100 yards would be one tough sell. You are the man, nice moose!!!

cool!! Nice moose....that should give you some great meat for the winter and then some!!!!! The toughest part in hunting is usually after the kill....Congrats!!!
