OnAFly
Hopefully Koivu isn't out all year. Didn't sound good from what I heard. Just the fact that he didn't come back all game was a bad sign.

JimBuck
Why is the game not on channel 11? I was a little upset when I first turned it on as well. Were looking alright going into the 3rd, heck of a pk so far....Backstrom is playing awesome and the Wings are getting away with a few calls...as usual. OnAFly
They cut into the Buffalo/Washington game during intermissions. I was really confused when hockey came back on and it was a different game.Tough loss today. At least we get one out of it. Calgary is up 3-0 against the Habs. If they win, we are tied with them and several others with 68 points.
OnAFly
Can't edit for some reason soooo....I was wrong, Calgary now has 70pts and 6th place. No teams play tonight that affect us. Tomorrow there are 4 or 5 games that could bump us. Then we host the Oilers (who we have dominated in the past) and the LA. We need to win both as teams like Edmonton are the ones you need to beat consistently (can't slack against poor teams, ask the Gophers) and LA is right below us in the standings. This is a playoff atmosphere. Lots of fun to watch.
spearchucker
Sounds like Koivu has abroken finger. Out 3 weeks or more may need surgery.

OnAFly
Considering how few games the guy misses, I'm sure he's considered both options so far. We're really going to miss him. Hopefully he's back in three weeks. At least he should be able to stay in shape throughout his absence. Could be worse, could be a knee.
10,000 Casts
[PoorWordUsage] injuries.. and our captain non the less.. I would say that a .500 record while he is gone will be a huge task..I would consider yesterdays 1 pter a win, I didn't catch the game but and pt against detroit is a win imo.. Give Clutterbuck the C.. He hussles the most and has been putting some pucks in the net and just imagine what the other teams would think when our captin lays 10 big checks on them.. OnAFly
We came out flat last night, but held on to the second and decided to start playing hockey.Hall was good last night. I was surprised he didn't score. He's looking much better than he did in the beginning of the year.

Barker even impressed me few times against Hall. Maybe he is finally figuring out how to play? Havlat and Cullen have been looking good lately. Mittens missed the open net again. solbes
Mittens had LOTS of looks at open net. Shouldn't be that hard to bury the puck.Rest of the team looked good for the remaining 40 minutes. Too bad we can't play the Oilers for a 3 game series at home. OnAFly
We play them two more times. One more at home I believe.Next is LA and Anaheim then Chicago. All three teams are near us in the standings. If there was ever a time to get hot, it's now.Looking at the schedule, we have 6 more sets of back-to-back games to go. We also play the Canucks and Stars twice and the Redwings once. Those are all going to be really tough games, especially if we don't have Koivu. OnAFly
Apparently Brodziak is out now with some type of illness. We are down to Cullen, Madden, Ortmeyer and Almond as our centers.

schmitty3
HUGE game tonight as we are tied with LA in the standing and have played the same amount of games.
Bear55
Maybe we should just skate the Houston Aeros for a couple of games and let everyone heal up. Man we are having some bad luck at the wrong time of year.
solbes
HUGE game tonight as we are tied with LA in the standing and have played the same amount of games. Crazy year in the West. 4 points separates 5th place from 12th place. Go WILD!
OnAFly
No kidding, it's nuts when a shootout loss bumps you up to 6th from 10th place.
scsavre
Huge game tonight. they all are though. I cant believe the lack of talent we have to step in. This is the exact time where are past number 1's and 2's should get moved up and showcase their skills and win over the fans. O wait, they are either hurt or terrible, or actually both. spearchucker
I have never been a big Mittens lover or hater, but he stinks tonight. If he really is such great buddies with Koivu he needs to step it up.
Bear55
Looks like I picked a good game to go to bed early, we are still in the thick of things but it would have been nice to win that one.
10,000 Casts
Typical Wild loss last night.. Besides Havlat, Bouchard and Burns, the Wild have NO skill on the ice. We waste more time in the nuetral zone dicking around chasing the puck than setting up the play.. We will just have to grit our way into the playoffs..Man has Burns come along way! I like how he plays and I like the fact that Barker isn't on the roadtrip.. Aaron Rodgers and Clay Mathews were there to cheer on the Kings..
