Long road of life?

This is my 2-1/2 year old son riding the same trike I used to ride when I was his age down the same gravel driveway at my Mom and Dad's. Just a point and shoot pic that turned out way better than I expected. There's probably a few metaphors you could caption this photo with, Life's long journey, etc. but mainly I just think it's a nice picture.

The Path of life

You tell me young one that I do not listen or understand you.

But I have walked the path you now walk.

And walk a path you have yet to take.

So who should listen to whom, about the dangers in the path yet to come?
