Little Man - Big Fish

So my little fishin buddy Hunter is getting to the point where he can put a whoopin on some fish. This last Saturday I brought him out in the boat to chase some bluegills and enjoy the beautiful weather. I think he did alright on both.

His first 8+ for the day.

One that I thought was nice enough for a portrait. FAT fish and the skin on the back fin was pulling back from the bone, never seen that before.

Hunter caught his first northern pike too. A nice 20" that pulled him around for about 3 or 4 minutes.

And quite possibly one of my favorite photos of all time.

Enjoy, I sure as he-ll did.

It's been years since my son was that young and I do miss the smiles he gave after catching a fish. I remember a day when he caught his limit of northern's and just started yelling - I got my limit - I got my limit - and 2 guys in a boat close to us just cracked up as I did. Great memories!!!!! Now I get to watch my better half do it as she fishes more with me.
