Spinnerbaits breaking in half

I've been having spinnerbaits break in half right at the line tie bend. It happens after maybe 15 or 20 fish. Is this normal? Unfortunately it happens when I'm bringing in a fish and the fish gets stuck with the hook. I'm going to switch brands for sure. Happened twice last weekend and this was the first time all summer I've used them.

Metal fatigue will eventual set in if fish keep bending it out of shape and you keep bending it back into shape. It's similar to what happens when steel leaders kink, or the snaps on leaders break. It will help to go to thicker wires, and it will also help to go to spinnerbaits with a full twist, as opposed to the open end notch.

The bass dont really do much damage its the northerns and muskies that do it for me. Its gonna eventually break but the terminators seems to hold up well.

this^

Caught my first musky at the beg of the month and a 40in pretty much ruined my bass spinnerbait.

even titanium will break. It is super light and strong. At the same time it is also brittle. If it gets bent and warped over and over again and pulled and tugged it will snap. When we form it at work we have to get it glowing red before forming it to prevent it from snapping. everything wears out.

just never use Secret Weapon Lures Quickstrike Spinnerbaits, they snap like a stale pretzel

So you don't like War Eagle or Quickstrike.... please, please enlighten me on what your spinnerbait of choice is, I'm hangin' on your every word......

fresh pretzels out of the oven don't snap! You need to hone up on your cooking skills burch. As far as spinnerbait choices, like many of us, I've got some from about every brand out there. War eagle's are great, definitly one of my favs, but they do tend to snap after you've caught a lot of fish on them or banged them off the rip rap too many times. Revenge is a really great brand too.
