mrklean
not to change topics but why is it you can shoot an albino deer, but you cant shoot an albino bear?
Boar
Probabley quite more rare due to fact that the deer population way exceeds the bear population. Well it used to anyhow. But in my mind a bear is a bear is a bear, What a mount that would be. I have'nt been fortunate to see one yet. Boar

Archerysniper
Their are a few albino deer in the fauther hennipen state park on the southern shore of millacs. As far as I can remember the albino bear law was put into effect to save a bear that was coming into one of the viewing sites where people were feeding the bears and all the bear hunters were trying to bait it and kill it. 96trigger
When I was in high school I used to milk cows in Buffalo county. There was one on my way to most mornings for one summer, then it disappeared. The locals were not happy when that happened. Nobody really knows what happened to it, but there were rumors. Also had a pibald deer running the area I hunt, we got pictures of it, and my brother in law saw it once while hunting, but we haven't seen it in a couple of years. Very cool stuff. haverhunting
Are you guys sure your are seeing an albino deer or white deer. Your odds are higher to see a white deer then to see an albino deer. White deer are rare but albinos are even more rare. Be sure to check for the pink nose and eyes, then you no you've see an albino. Maybe what your seeing is a pibald deer that just has alot of white coloring.

alex1
Sniper, those deer in Father Hennipen according to the rangers are white deer. I've been up there a few times and gotten really close to them, and gotten pictueres as they are not affraid of humans as the brown deer are. Nonethe less they are very cool to see. Cooter
I've been fortunate to see 5 albinos in my life - one of them being in the park on Mille Lacs. The rest were in WI.
