After watching Terry Scroggins on Day On The Lake, on the Bassmaster page, I really want a Duckett flippin/pitchin rod. Has anyone used a Duckett Rod yet? If so, what do you think of it?

Btw, Watchin Terry bring in that 10 pounder was pretty sweet!!

although i haven't used a duckett rod i have built ones very similir minus the white blank - the main selling point for duckett is the guides more than the blank. And now with the amount of micro guides out there you can have them put on your favorite blank. Micros are nothing new they have been out for several years just duckett was the first to exploit them on a national level but custom builders have enjoyed them for years. I personally wouldn't buy a one just cause i think painted blanks take away sensitivity. (Although Scrotch in that video does a great job of pimping for Boyd.) so htose are my 2 pennies.

I own one and like it a lot. I have about 25 Loomis rods and the Duckett compares very favorably to the Loomis rods in both weight and sensativity. Personally I feel it is a big bang for your bucks. I will be buying more.

If you don't want to spend the money to custom build a Z-Bone rod from Kistler you should check out their Micro Magnesium rods for about $180. I just got one and I love it.
