potty talk

Ok. So there is a few ways to handle this.

Though it sounds like I'm the only woman that's ever ended up wetting my pants in the boat. Now I feel even dumber.

I am sure there are plenty of stories that are not being told =) When the bite is on no one wants to go in for anything...

5 gallon bucket and the toliet seat that snaps on, works perfect. Got it a a camping store a few years back - think it was $12. I will look and see if it has a brand name on it. I did find a 3 gallon drywall mud bucket that sits a little lower to the ground that works better. Much easier than trying to balance over the side or have to clean the livewell later.

we use the poncho method as well but the warden keeps her butt cheeks on the seat and does a lean forward into the bucket. that way it doesnt look the least bit like someone is going potty. remember, it can all be washed away if something drips.

I for one would never do the livewell cuz i am busy putting fish into both of them. that is just sacrilegious.

I dont know about MN, but if you pee in a bucket in WI, and then put it over the side for rinsing, that is illegal dumping. that can carry a hefty couple hundred dollar fine. peeing directly into a lake is ok. so i guess dont let the DNR catch you rinsing out your buckets.

good luck ladies.

Well...I have a bad habit of admitting to things that I should keep private...but that's ok.

The poncho thing is a good idea, though it brings up one other incident, not quite as embarrassing though because nobody knew.

Let's just say that when it's 50 degrees and raining, it makes the need to go that much worse....but having an accident while wearing rain pants is not noticeable to anyone else...ugh I need to shut up. I'll just say that I'd much rather wet my pants then get a UTI, and I've exersized that choice more then I should admit.

ok....enough from me. sorry guys

I'm not wearing depends in the boat. That'd be a waste of a chance at experiencing the uniqueness of the sensation if....shut up mandy.

OK. Have great fishing guys.

I wish there were more women on the board...or someone that doesn't think I am gross..lol.

Have a safe outing.

OK! That did make me chuckle!

As guys we deal with this more than we talk about. Alot of times it depends on you comfort level with those in the boat, and there is really no GOOD solution to this other than going to shore. Even that can be a problem with so many of our waters having developement all along the shores. You just have to analize the situation when you first start fishing, and decide what your options are.

I once drew a young woman as a non-boater in a club fishing tournament. I told her to let me know if she had a need and we would go back to the landing so she could take care of it. Her response was, "lots of people have seen my "bum", what's one more? Don't worry about it..." My response was "where were you BEFORE I got married? I can appreciate that but we're going back to the dock if you need it!" LOL
