HooknHorns
Well, its the last working day in May and thought maybe they would have had the results out for the bear lotto. Guess not. Let me know if I missed something.
fishnhooks
I have been checking and checking, most likely just like everyone else. I stopped by my baitshop to buy some minnows for this weekend on the way home from work and their DNR calendar says the results are suppose to be out by the end of June.I suspect they will be out sooner, but it was a disappointment. ac777
I don't see what takes them so long to get a computer selected lottery out and to the public?
mrklean
I guess they have better things to do
Scoot
This always bothers me when a gov't entity says it will have info available by a certain deadline, then doesn't bother to try meet that deadline. They said the info would be available by late May. If they can't make that happen, they shouldn't bother saying it. Do they have better things to focus on (as mrklean suggested)? Certainly. But... if there won't be any intention of meeting their self-imposed deadlines, they shouldn't bother splattering those deadlines all over the interweb. I'm done ranting now... surewood
I just read that the deadline is mid June now.
Black Bear
Take it easy.......The delay in announcing results was due to the Fish & Wildlife Bill VETO. There were at least two ammendments on it pertaining to bear hunting. I heard the lottery results should be posted sometime this week. Scoot
Take it easy....... Sorry, I don't usually type out my little rants like that. It's weird, but I can sit and wait for a deer, elk, walleye or musky for hours on end, but when it comes to lottery results, I'm not a patient person... 89Bronco
They might have a reason for their delay on missing the their own deadline, but if we had a great reason for missing the deadline to get the application in we'd be S.O.L!
jeffreyd
its called money and interest. the longer they wait to announce results the more interest they draw on you application fees and then when they send your refund they loose that money. Nope, it's not like AZ. There's no money down- you don't have to pay up front like many states out West. In this lottery, you only pay if you get drawn. So, it's not a greed deal. It has more to do with level of efficiency and organization...

The application is free no cost until you buy your license, don't give them any ideas
mrklean
haha speaking of that i think if they ever which i really hope they do when they can open up a wolve season they should charge for a app fee the states out west that did made pretty good money off of that
