Up Grade fishfinder

I have an eagle 320 on my boat, looking to upgrade to a fishfinder/gps unit, new or used. Need to watch the $$$, what would you guys recommend, would like to stay under $600, the better half would like me to stay under $400. I would think I need one that would include a chip for the northern MN lakes, thanks,

you can get the Humminbird 597CI for under 600 bucks at Pro Fishing Supply. I just got the Humminbird 788c from Dave and love it. It it is very user friendly and the screen is nice and bright with lots of detail.

A very good unit is the 788CI for $649. Very tight resolution and can run the new LakeMaster mapping now available for Hummingbirds. I consider it an excellent value in the Humm'r line.

Lowrance elite 5. Think it going for around $500. Neighbor just picked one up and I will be buying one soon. Internal GPS/chartplotting and color combo. Better than the HDS5 in my opinion.

I believe the elite is the new replacement for the lower end lowrance eagle line. I own a fishmark 320 and 480.
