Gunsmith?

Could someone recommend a good gunsmith to blue the barrel and refinish the wood on a gun for my dad? It's a custom rifle that has seen better days and I was thinking it would be a great father's day gift. Thanks for any help.

It can depending on the back log of work they have ahead of yours. Get it in soon if you are going to do it.

Thanks for all the replies. We live in Minnetonka, but are originally from Becker and he still lives in Santiago, so I think we'll try there. Thanks again for all the help!

Yes, you would need to get it in asap if you want it done by father's day. A total refinish can be quite time consuming between prep work and aftercares of bluing and stock finish. Also, some smiths are quite busy with turkey guns taking precidence right now and competition shooters preparing for summer activities.
