Premature? Of course! That's 1/2 the fun this time of year...

104-58 (NO GAME 163 this year!)

Just going with players of regularity for 2010:

SPAN: 16Hrs, 75 RBIs

HUDSON: 12Hrs, 57 RBIs

MAUER: 28Hrs, 105 RBIs

MORNEAU: 26Hrs, 118 RBIs

CUDDYER: 23Hrs, 101 RBIs

KUBEL: 24Hrs, 98 RBIs

YOUNG: 18Hrs, 74 RBIs

THOME: 20Hrs, 62 RBIs

HARDY: 22Hrs, 56 RBIs

HARRIS: 14Hrs, 35 RBIs

*PUNTO: 3Hrs, 31 RBIs

*MY GRANDMA: 4Hrs, 34 RBIs (okay, love Punto's defense, but this WAS called for...)

BAKER: 12 wins, 3.43 ERA

BLACKBURN: 14 wins, 4.14 ERA

PAVANO: 11 wins, 4.48 ERA

SLOWEY: 15 wins, 3.62 ERA

LIRIANO: 16 wins, 2.41 ERA (CY YOUNG WINNER smile )

NESHEK: Under 2.00 ERA

MIJARES: Under 2.50 ERA

GUERRIER: AL Holds leader

RAUCH: 38 Saves, 2.98 ERA

Okay, so that's like 800 runs scored and several Cy Young Candidates, including a Liriano of old and a premier closer from a guy with a handful of big league saves, but if you want to go, go big!

If there are any end of season predictions I'm going to make, it might be that the Twins never give up the division lead from here on out. Especially if we make it thru the first three series.

You know what I'm seeing in the team? It's almost like I'm getting a Yankee vibe from them, the Twins no longer think they are good, they KNOW they are good. Avoid the injury bug and this is going to be a very entertaining season.

Tough not to be optimistic after that awesome series. But hitters often start hot and then fade off as the grind gets to them. That said, I see great improvement out of Young, a shortstop with real pop, and the addition of Thome that we didn't have last year. Offense is going to be improved, but how consistently can our starters take us to 7 innings?

I'm surprised Windy hasn't jumped all over this thread yet. Maybe he's waiting until after this weekend smile

I have a feeling the White Sox will warm up but lets hope the Twins can keep the heat on and have a nice lead on this division when the Sox start to charge. I don't think the Twins will hold the AL Central from when we got it to game 162. However I'm hoping its all locked up with more than a week to go.

What I like about it is, when they are behind, I feel like they will not have any problem catching up. Unlike years before, were if they fell behind, by more then a run, I felt the game was over. With this offense it would be hard to count us out of the games. It is kinda like when we play the Yankees, and we have a 5 run lead in the 8, you just know, the Yankees can score them, and you never feel you have a comfortable lead, but this time, I feel that way for the Home team!
