perchking
Well I went to a local casino in Norther Wisconsin on Sat to donate some money and when I walked in the first 3 people I saw were Rick, Big Haus, and Chumlee. Not kidding, I didn't even know they were there to sign autographs, I meet them at 1pm and at 3 there were slated to sign autographs and meet their fans. I got some pics and video of them that I will post a little later. Me and my wife talked to them for about 20 minutes or so, and I am glad I got to speak with them because when 3pm hit the line was so long it was unreal. Chumlee is portrayed as the village idi0t on the show but in real life he seems like a pretty knowledgeable guy.
Jim Uran
Hey that's pretty sweet!!! I'd like to punch Big Haus right in the lips, but the other guys are pretty cool.
Shack
Very cool PK. I think they are not that huge of TV stars yet, were if you catch them like ya did, you are going to be able to have good talk with them. Just wait till they get the Paul Sir. & Paul Jr. status! I am warming up to BH now and loosing less interest in Chumlee At fisrt I felt sorry for him, but I now agree with the Granddad that Chumlee is stupid (at least acts like it for the camera). They seem like they have found an interesting thing to do for a living and are doing well because of it. Kind of like the Pickers show right after Pawn Stars. Jmnhunter
Great show, thats awesome you got to meet them, i always wondered if chumlee is really that stupid; but i also heard from someone who went to vegas saying that he is alittle slow
perchking
I am not saying he is all there, but in the 20 minutes I was talking to him I never got that empty stare his is famous for in the show...
DTro
It's a fun show to watch, but sure seems to fall into the acting/editing category. Along with American Chopper, Axe Man, Swamp Loggers, Ice Truckers, etc, etc. I find myself saying, "without the camera, there's no way they'd be doing that".Although I think some "acting" goes on, "The Deadliest Catch", and "Dirty Jobs" has been only one of a few that has been able to pull off the reality thing. Mythbusters too, but that falls into a different category I think.
Bigbartguy
Thats cool that you got to meet them - I love that show. My guess is there is quite a bit posturing/acting for the cameras and Chums not as stupid as he's made out to be. I've heard mixed results from people that went into their store in Vegas to meet them. The old man was a jerk (go figure) and the others were little more friendly than that, but not much. Tough to run a business when people want to come in and get autographs all of the time. Seeing them at the casino, their attitudes were probably quite different. pinkfloyd4ever
Thats awesome you got to meet them, I bet they would be cool to just sit around a keg and party with them. I too think that the show is a huge set-up, like, every monday at 1pm bring what you got to the store for an opportunity to have an offer made and be on TV. Cool show none the less, but the Dad is like a real life walking talking Cliff Claven I am waiting for him to one day just say it "it's a little known fact...." LightningBG
Kind of like the Pickers show right after Pawn Stars. I kinda wonder what those pickers guys do in that van on the slow days?
