Carbon Arrows: Gold Tip

Recommended Posts

any shoot the gold tips? I'm leaning towards them, changing from bemans as they seem to have lost their quality compared to a few years ago.

thinking of setting up with 27.25" Expedition hunters 5575 arrows with blazers

Gold Tip makes nice arrows. The 5575's are their intermediate spine, and would be best suited for a bow pulling between 55-65 pounds at that arrow length if my memory suits me. My recommendation is that if you are at the edge of moving up in spine to the 7595's, I'd move up. Easier to tune being slightly over spined rather than slightly underspined.

I haven't heard anything bad about GTs. I keep buying'm and they keep killing deer. I haven't had one break prolly 3 years either.

Actual draw weight and adjusted draw weight are two different things so its best to use the arrow selection charts in the store or on the manufacturers HSOforum. I shoot 62lbs in my Xforce and I use the 55-75 Xt hunters at 28". They shoot great and they don't cost me $100 to shoot.

they're the only arrow my buddy uses. i myself prefer a different brand, but i am NOT saying! it'll turn into a skunk pi$$ing match of whose brand is better than whose grin

i will say i prefer a heavier spined shaft though!! like 340 or 350
