DTro
I’ve enjoyed watching this show in the past, I like to see their enthusiasm towards fishing in general, but I even more so enjoyed the program this past Sat in which they traveled down to Kentucky to fish a small river. Nothing like 3 grown men in the smallest 14’ boat I’ve ever seen, underhand lobbing (couldn’t even call it a cast) big baits at snags in the river and catching a bunch of fish with lots of laughs mixed in. That is what it’s all about. Their passion came through loud and clear. It reminded me a lot of a couple Musky trips I’ve taken on the LittleFork when I was younger
snowman678
Weren't they in Tennessee? They spent the first half of the show touring the Jack Daniels distillery, then went fishing. It was pretty darn cool though, fishing in those little streams and backwaters.
DTro
oh geez you are right. LOL yeah I'm a little slow Keyes in Kentucky sounds better though. LOL I liked the story about how Jack Daniels died. Wonder if that is true?

MuskieJunkie
I was happy to see those guys get all the big sponsors in the last few years, they went from Great Clips, Point Beer, some local beef jerkey company and fishing out of an older used boat to Jack Daniels, and a fleet of new Yarcrafts every year. JimBuck
Bummer I missed this one. The Keyes boys are a riot to watch. Slime time!
Cooter
I missed it too but love fishing for muskies in small rivers.
10,000 Casts
To each their own I guess, I had a buddy up ice fishing for the weekend and we stayed at home late Saturday just to watch Keyes and MH. I was hoping for Miltona or Minnetonka and high 40"ers like usaul and we were dissapointed to say the least on the Jack Daniels tour and a couple 30"ers. But the fishing in the river was cool and I know they have to pay the bills.
50inchpig
I'm with you 10k, although the river was kind of cool to see, woulda liked to have seen more action and inches and less distillery but that's why I got DVR and maybe they'll stick something a little bigger next week. What was really funny though was Musky Hunter. Saric travels all the way to Indiana to watch Hulbert catch one fish, says screw this and heads north for some real fishing. As Hulbert would say "We sure didn't rip their @sses today!"
dudeness
I like seeing big fish too but I could do without any more night fishing videos... ever. Yes, we get it, big fish eat at night but guess what, we can't see anything when you film at night. You could just show me a picture of the fish and play some audio and I'd come away with the same amount of pleasure. Looks like that little river might cough up some bigger fish next week for you guys that insist size matters.

50inchpig
fair enough, i sure wouldn't argue with that. them 30 inchers sure don't headshake at the boat much, that's what i really like to see on the shows, and in real life.
scsavre
I liked it, i havent been to JD and doubt i ever will. I thought it was cool to see fish coming out of a little river/creek like that. I think the emphasis of the show was that they could catch fish in February. Everyone loves to see big fish, but it is cool to see a unique situation like they were in. That said i hope this weeks has some bigger fish cause it would get a little old to see the same thing over a gain.
muskielaw
I missed this show and would have loved to see the JD distillery. I have to say that Keyes outdoor is probably my favorite fishing show! Not because they are fishing muskie but as Dtro said you can always tell they are passionate about their fishing and it shows. It is one of the few if not only show that each week it seems like just a couple of guys that decided to bring a camera along to catch there fishing experience. I appreciate the fact that the guy in the boat that does not have the fish or the net immediatly runs up to the bow to grab the camera to get the money shot!!
