Black Backed Woodpecker, Black Capped Chickadee.

Recommended Posts

Two recent images, both from boggy places. SonyA300,

Sigma50-500mm, iso400, f10, various shutter speeds, crops, cloned dust spots, USM. Pushing the whites on both images. Probably did burn the poor little chickadees cheek patch a bit.

Comments and critiques always welcome.

Regards,

Shawn Zierman.

Thanks for the kind comments folks. I always spot meter and shoot in manual exposure. Black backed woodpeckers are considered uncommon but regular in Minnesota. If you want to see one this year, Hedbom Bog (near Floodwood MN.) is a relatively hot spot recently, and in years past.
