I bought the bow maddness not really knowing how to shoot a bow, but wanted to get into bow hunting, It seems like it is a good bow, but i am no expert and nobody talks about these bows? Kinda wanna know what everyone thinks. Wanted a cheap but solid good shooting bow, turned out wasnt so cheap.

Let the discussion fly!

you guys are both right, the only problem is i never went and shot diff. bows to see whats best for me, even if i did i didnt know what to feel for, I did like the bow madness over the xs, and i wanted the alpha max but was out of my budget. but was kinda wondering now, if i can shoot a thicker handled bow without relearning my shot. I kind of hold the bow goofy, but its the only way i can get my wrist to cock the same way everytime. I also wonder about my bow being tuned right, had it set up by a dealer not local and shot with it a while but when i picked up my rest and look it was really crooked. So i adjusted it to as flat as i could get it. There is just so many bells and whisles i start to wonder about things.

Prolly just need to practice more, and learn to shoot right. sorry for rambeling just kinda frustrated.

crank down the poundage untill you feel comfortable with the and have someone laser tune it make sure everything is inline. When i first got a bow my poundage was way to high and i couldnt shoot right get comfortable and work from there

Sounds to me like you're in need of someone who can tell you if your bow is set up right or not. Go to a reputable bow shop in your area and get some help. If your bow isn't tuned right you'll be banging your head against a brick wall. If everything looks good regarding timing, etc. then get some help on form.

Good luck!

I would go to shaffer performance archery in burnsville they are right off cliff rd and 35w between 35 and cedar. John is one of the best in the business and has done alot of work with pse in the past. This would be my first choice. Otherwise cabin fever in victoria they are also a good shop.

Cabin fever does a good job. john shaffer has worked with pse for years helping with devolepment. 10 yrs ago or so he was tweaking pse pretty hard he had them shooting 400fps back then. I also recomended him because he is one of the best shooters in the state and is an exellent teacher.
