Nick Kuhn
I spent some time browsing a few catalogs. I was wondering if any new products in particular caught your eyes. Seems to me the price was the only thing that caught my eye. I mean the new Max Rap doesn't look like a bad bait but $18? Thank goodness for 50lb braid. Also noticed there were quite a few new creature baits. Might give those a try this year.Just wanted to start a discussion specific to products that will be new for the upcoming season. Deitz Dittrich
I am interested in the new Troll Raps that look like a DT Flat.. I would like to cast them and see the action...I got a few of the new Sebile Soft side swimmers.. and they work great in the bathtub, but have not caught anything on em yet..Other than that, not really sure.. river rat316
BPS carbon lite rods have got my interest, there is alot of new rods in the under $129 category, BPS carbon lite, Falcon Buccoo, Wright and McGill skeete Reese, and last years Mojo rods, Abu also has the vendetta and a new series coming out this summer that look pretty good. I just put up 5 Setyrs on the hso classifieds and will be replacing them with rods from this category, the Setyrs are awesome rods but I can't have the length anymore due to a boat change.I also like the looks of the paycheck baits punch skirts, I have some of the inserts they use to play around with making my own, but haven't had time yet. Yum has a new line of creature baits that look good, and Strike Kings rage series is ever expanding. Other than that I don't see anything that is "game changing" alot of the same old same old in new glitzy packages.
tgruenke
This isn't a new product, but this year I want to try using Gulp Alive. We always buy minnows but never use them all up and it's tough to keep them alive. Rapala has a lot of new products but as Nick said... they are pricey. TonkaBass
Cecil those Cabelas swim baits look just like a Spro... For 1/2 the price. I would have to agree with you on this. I really want to get the tail spin lure thingy that Sebile makes too, I saw some underwater footage of it and the thing look money!
