So, had a birthday this past weekend and my girlfriend got me (us) tickets to go to the classic next weekend! Needless to say, I'm jacked!! Anyone ever been? Things to remember or do?

What a nice gift Cecil. I've been there but it was 6 years ago and things have changed quite a bit. Make sure you make it to the Expo - a lot of things and people to talk to. It should be a lot more fun now that Fish is back and doing the emceeing.

I agree with NTW, bring warm clothing although it should be 30 degrees warmer than here.

Sounds like 30's in AM and 50's during the day. Not ideal, but much warmer than here! Looking forward to expo, I have an $100 bill burnin a hole in my pocket

Get to the weigh in early!!!!! Hard to get seats if you dont.

Get ready to meet alot of the pros there everywhere.

Dont be afraid to ask the Vendors for free stuff. I came away with all kinds of tee shirts,hats, lures etc.All it took was carrying around a rod from a competitor of theres or their products and ask.

Depends how long you will be down there. If you will be there for a few days I would check out some local stuff Marinas, bait shops etc. You can find some really cool stuff. If your girl friend is into just hanging out the Expo is super cool for checking out EVERYTHING bass fishing make sure you listen to the P.A. you will get some killer deals. Last time I went got 5 Stradics for $45 each. I had to buy another suit case to get home. I am heading to Florida on Mon. or I would be working down there, you will have a blast!

I used to play 2 nights a week and tournaments on weekends. I miss thoughs nights under the lights.
