Hoary Redpoll, Male Pine Grosbeak.

I know there is cross traffic between this site and one other that I post on, so apologies to those who have just seen these two Both are from the Sax Zim Bog last year. Both are from the Admiral Rd. feeding station (Thankyou Jay).

SonyA300, Tokina80-400mm, iso400, f10, various ss, cropped, increase saturation, warmed the grosbeak image a bit, USM.

Nice, Shawn! I think redpolls are difficult. That little beady eye, for one thing. Don't know they never seem to stand out the way yours does. The grosbeak is gorgeous.

I remember these from last year and they are definitely worth a repost! I grew rather fond that hoary with the dark spots on his rump, I guess it set him apart from the others.

Now how did you get them to land on the same twig in the same exact spot, tricky....
