Hen's turn

Yesterday it was a Rooster,today a Hen. This gal was right near our driveway. Mo pulled up in his car and also spotted her and I think we both got some good shots.

Not too many creative ways to crop when snow is the background!

Nice stuff, MM. The snow line echoing and emphasizing the curve of the pheasant in image No. 2 is a grace note. It is subtle and right. Shame you're handicapped by that soft 100-400, eh?

This was the only other shot I made today. For some reason I was inclined to shoot it. The spots are snow that was being blown down from Birch limbs. The sun going down amidst dozens of trees made for an interesting backlight-which is I think what caught my eye. [Cloned a spunky twig]

That second hen shot is great! The deep snow is good for photographers getting pheasant pictures. Unfortunately it is no good for the pheasants.
