The Real Reason The Vikes Lost To The Bears

I can't believe that nobody thinks that they should have went for two and the win. We were rolling the dice either way with one extra point already missed and at that point our offense was unstoppable (4 for 4 in the red zone, or something like that?)

Make it and win or miss it and lose, either way we'd have shown the national audience that we got some stones - instead we communicated the opposite.

I don't blame Longwell for the missed points but what was up with his kickoffs? I swear that some of those looked like they were fielded on the 15 or 20 yard line!

If they do indeed suck, then.....where does that put the team the whooped up on twice?

Puts us as sucking more.

Its more of the self-destructive choking pattern the Queens have that I see repeating itself again that warrants the mockery. I mean, the best team Favre has ever played on got beat back to back weeks by mediocre teams. They play anywhere similar to that come playoff time and its back home on the couch.

Bit of a side note but now I heard he's comparing this years team to the '07 Giants. Might be similar now but not for long. He's trying to rally the troops, I'll give him credit for that.

I stated to a few when we were up fishing this weekend that the Vikes would lose. They simply are not that great and they seem to not be playing their better game.

It will be very tough to make it to the NFC championship games.

I just don't believe a team playing as poorly as the Vikes can just flip the switch and become a great contender.

I wish them the best but I do not see them going far.

Hmmmmm I seem to remember a guy saying there was NO WAY the Twins would win the division....... wink

I don't think the Vikings coaching has the ability to take them on a playoff run. They have let too many subpar teams stay in the game this year. While they've won some of those games, they've also let ones slip away. They're being dominated lately. Who knows maybe it's a big game plan being orchestrated by Childress, just like getting Farve after it looked like he wasn't coming to the purple village. If the Bears can get throttled by the Vikings, then come back a month later to beat them; what do you think a better team, that team they beat twice this season, will do to them?? Good luck purple, you will need it.

I would compare them more to last year's Arizona team.

I would compare them to last years Minnesota Vikings, with a better QB, a bigger ego, a worse defense, and the same coach!

On a bright note for Vikings fans, they can't do any worse in the playoffs than they did last season.

Point is they wont be hear in 2 years. grinwink

And the other point if we all sat back and did the cheerleader thing and throw support with out showing distaste to how things are going anything would change. Last year I felt we were close to getting rid Childress then he gets lucky and draws an easy season and looks good then people jump on the Chili bandwagon and he gets a raise. Hmm you think he would have gotten that raise if he still had that opposition he had at the end of last year.

They won't be here in two years? Purely speculation on your part. Who is to say the NFL will let the Vikings go anywhere anyway? As far as Favre leaving - who cares. Another QB will come along and the Vikings will play with him. What NFL team is a state team - they are all privately owned and operated by the owners, besides you won't have to worry about the NFL in a few years they will be without a CBA and that will probably cause a work stoppage.
