Arrow rests for kids

I picked up a Matthews Menace for my 8 year old son. I'm undecided on the rest and I was curious what others did for their kids. Is a Whisker Biscut the best way to start?

My buddy went with the biscut for his son and it worked very well for him. Kids sometimes have a hard time holding on to the arrow and then it likes to fall off the rest and rattle or fall to the ground, right when the big one is coming by! cry

Thanks guys. I'm not a huge fan WB's myself. My concern was the impact of a WB while he's pulling in lower poundage range. But I agree with you. I think I'd rather have him be able to pull back and grow in draw weight without concern of it falling off the rest.

The Whisker Biscuit is a good starter. His arrow won't fall off or clang anything when he's drawing on his first deer.

Is there an echo in this post! laugh

I think you only lose like 5-7 fps using a WB so I wouldn't worry about it too much. It really is a perfect rest for kids.
