Why would anyone waste walleye or sunfish by pickling them, is what i want to know?

I have a lake of the woods trip coming up, and I've got about 4 lbs in the freezer from the fall. In the north-country its really not too dificult to catch walleye. In fact, I have caught more walleye that pike and crappie combined this winter. Its not waste if its being eaten, is it? I eat enough fried food as it is to fry up frozen fish when I can fry fresh.

Nothing better to eat in the ice house than some pickled fish. mmmm

Do you have to freeze panfish like you have to freeze pike before you pickle them?

Be sure you eat one pickled one to everyone you catch so not go over your possession limit. grin Now that would be awsome.
