Looking for a good rod case that holds about 8 rod and reels

I just picked one up at Fleet Farm for $13. It will hold 6 easily, 8 in a pinch.

Take a look at the bag from Stone Legacy Cases. I got one at the Ice Fishing show and it is well made, More spendy than the soft side bags but offers much protection.

The misses picked up one of those stone legacy cases. Looks pretty nice.

Her equipment is usually nicer than mine. I have the soft side bag that everyone sells and stamps their own logo onto the side. Mine just happened to come from GM, but I have seen the same thing at FF, Joe's SG, etc.

I have the soft sided bag but I'm only storing 2 in it if it's the same one I am thinking of. No way I could keep 6-8 in it... at least not with reels. I keep 2 in it though.

You wont find a rod case that will hold 8 rods safely. 6 maybe but not 8. I have never needed 8 rods on the ice though.

The stone legacy revolution and Otter Hard Case are the best 2 I have ever used.

I bought one a 6 rod holder at the Cabelas. My one I bought at FF last year didn't even make it through the season...zipper went.

I've used a Croxton Pond model in the past that easily held 6 combos and now have a model with the Scheels logo on it that will still hold 6 combos but doesn't have quite as much room left over. Both have done a fine job of protecting things.

I have 7 in a double gun case bought at the end of the hunting season two years ago. It is a little bit cumbersome but keeps the rods and reels protected all season and during summer storage.

You have to arrange them just so to get them all in there.

I got a buddy of mine who uses an arrow case and converted it into a rod case. It's actually really nice, he can fit about six rods in it reels and all. He spent 25 bucks on it, and it's nicer than some of the really expensive rod cases that hold less and cost more. Hard case too.

My brother made a hard case out of some thin plywood and scrap lumber and lined it with foam cut to fit the rods. It opens like a suitcase and holds 4 rod on each side, very neat.

With the ice a bit thin for my liking and little to do this weekend, I decided to make some rod protectors to keep my rods safe in my bag.

Bought a couple 8 foot sections of fluorescent tube bulb protectors at HD for under 3 bucks a piece and about 5 bucks worth of velcro. Spiced some of them up with some free stickers I picked up at the ice show.

I can easily fit my 4 rods in the bag (same thing as that croxton pond bag), but I think I can get 6 in there no problem. The limiting factor isn't the tubes, it's the reels.
