Been hunting remaining standing corn and we drove no deer out of nor did we find any tracks muzzleloading recently. We drove a 240 acre patch near a river bottom, an 80 and a 130 acre patch near a creek bottom last weekend and zilch. This once 5 deer area is decimated so unless they are parachuting in they aren't there. We thought we had a great muzzy season coming knowing we had more corn then we could drive, but the deer are unknown. This Saturday we are meeting again to try and find a single deer track near them or in them, but it isn't happening.

I'll add we drove out the creek and river bottoms as well with no luck and no tracks seen. This is concerning because an average year there would have been roughly 30-50 animals on each farm and we can't find any. Moving in the wind, as hungry as they are there should be some movement although I'd think it needs to let up some, but on my 1,000 acres I can hunt with no deer using either farm what do you do other than hope some moved in from unknown areas which is seeming less likely each day.

Right now I'm looking out my window across a swamp and I can see 9 deer all bedded down on the lee side of a hill. There is 2 bucks with the does. The problem I have is that they are set up to see anything that comes even close. Kinda neet seeing them though

Had 2 sets of new tracks across the driveway and yard this morning between 6 and 630. Finished plowing out the driveway tonight by 5 and left to run errands at 6 and there were four sets of tracks crossing from a pinetree farm moving towards the woods where there is a picked soybean feild on the other side. They are moving but right at first and last light around here right now.
