leech~~
Every time I get into a little heated discussion on a topic with someone on this FM site. I try to rememeber. There's a lot of great people on this site, and maybe someday I may end up in a Ice house with one of them or meet them at a gathering some where, so I got to try and be nice! Which is some times hard to do. Don't have to name, names. But any good endings out there where you fought it out with someone on the site and then ended up going fishing or hunting with them and on good terms now? DonBo
I'll kick your arse right now if you take me hunting where you shot that buck in your avatar. That might turn out well.

leech~~
343 reads and no one has any "it worked out well" with someone else to tell about. Well I guess we are all just playing nice with each other then? Or are we just in denial?
Deitz Dittrich
I'm in denial.. As a mod you at times get a few not so nice emails.. a few have ended nicely, and a few have ended not so. For the most part, everyone I have met face to face on FM has been great.
Mr.Seaguar
Look at it from this way, how many times have you been impressed with someones post and then ending up meeting them? Not very often either. The internet is after all, a way to remain anonymous.
croixflats
I'm sure there has been a few. I took sillysand out for a sturgeon bite one night and some of our views were downright opposite and the discussions were prety heated. Heck of a guy and I enjoyed his company very much. I know he's out there doing his own thing now and I wish him the best and plan on contacting him this year for a bit of hard water fishing.Hate to think we are judge by what we say on line. Sure would be sad to think all that comradery down the tubes on a silly point of view.
shnelson
I hate everyone. With that aside, I have yet to actually meet anyone from the site, but there seems to be a pretty good crowd here. I'm sure I ran into a few of you at the ice show and didn't even realize it. We all have our differences, but there's no shame in that as long as it's kept civil when discussing these differences. BD110
leech~~You have posted an interesting question from my point of view. I would be surprised if you'll find what you're looking for. I would guess that most would stir themselves clear of people they have had a conflict with in the past. The fact of the matter is I've met countless numbers of new fishing buddies through this site, so if there are a few that I don't connect with I'm fine with that.I try not to type anything that I would not say to someone face to face. That's a tough plan for me to follow also as I been known to say some not so nice things to others at times. We all just need to figure out were to draw the line at times. To me a first impression online should be no different then in person. If you don't find any good stories of things that have worked out in the end, maybe we'll all come up with a better idea on how to start of things on the right foot to begin with. thedeadsea
I have butted heads with a few on here to find out later that we agree on most other topics. After meeting a whole bunch of good guys at the FM swap meet last spring, I will note that people sometimes come off quite a bit different in person then they do on the internet. Steve Foss
I will note that people sometimes come off quite a bit different in person then they do on the internet. Internet Forum Rule No. 1 for sure. And No. 2, and No. 3 . . . .
