First ice...where will you be?

I'm sure I'll be in the garage struggling with new line, dead batteries, lost/missing items, stale auger gas,broken rod tips, mice nests, 1/2" dust on vex screen, patching portable fabric, rusty jigs, melted-together plastics, and 2 dogs that want to "help". That's a short list, I'm sure.

I just moved within a couple miles of the Big Marine landing, I'm hoping to learn that lake quite well this year. Depending on conditions, I may have ambitions to hit up forest lake and possibly bone lake for some perch.

and that is exactly why you wont catch any fish for the rest of the ice season. dont you know that all the fish disappear after the ice reaches 3 inches and beyond.

1 or mabye 2 miles from my house fishing the shallow eyes on LOW. Cant wait... still no ice up here yet. Last year at this time we had 6+ inches.
