Sioux Falls

Went to Sioux Falls to pick up my daughter from college. We stopped by falls park on our way home to attempt some cottony water photos. Wouldn't you know it, the sun came out just as we got there, and messed with my plans.

Here is one I tried when the clouds were covering the sun a bit. I wanted to get a larger view of the falls, since it is such a beautiful place.

You need to go there when they have their laser show in the summer at night. Lots of photo opportunities then.

I lived there for 12 years and when ever someone came to visit we always went to see the falls. The laser show is awesome.

This was the second time I have been there. I walked around the paths a little more by the Queen Bee mill, and was amazed at how big the park is. We plan on visiting in the winter when everything is snowy. The crews were putting up the Christmas lights on all the light poles and in the trees around the Art place.

When are the laser shows? That sounds really cool.

Neat image - looks like a place that has lots of great photo ops. It's been a long time since we've been down that way, but maybe we'll need to put it on "the list" Thanks for sharing!

They do an amazing job with Christmas decorations. You need to visit it mid December in the evening.

Falls Park is one of my favorite places to photograph. When I was shooting black and white I took tons of photographs there for processing in my dark room. You really do need to check out the laser shows or the decorations...

That's a perfect falls to work with. Now I hope to try it some time. Nice job. What is the Art place?

It's called the Horse Barn Arts Center. They have art shows, and I think you can do hands on stuff every so often. You may really like it. I haven't taken the time to go through there yet, but it is on my list of places to stop.
