Best Anti-Fog Helmet

Tinkhamtown

Recommended Posts

I have 4 different helmets of all diff. styles and I always seem to go back to my open face with the flip up face shield. If I could find one at almost any price that I KNEW didn't fog and was comfortable (I am a little claustrophobic) I would buy it in a minute.

HJC HSO-Classifieds-15 and here's why....the vents are in the perfect spot (can open and close at will also). I've sledded when it's been plus 30 and also minus 30 and the thing HAS NOT fogged up. My father-in-law (who used to sell sleds and parts) said that the HSO-Classifieds-15 is the first helmet he's ever gotten that doesn't fog up (beside electric shield). I'm a heavy breather and sweater and it's been GREAT for me. It's fairly cheap too. $125 I think or if you look around you can find a good deal. Check them out...they are really, really good.

the best investment I made was buying a electric shield. these work great, especially when its real cold, you also get a little heat on your face. cool

I concur with heated shield -- $90.00 for my helmet and I never have a problem. Have been out at -20 and shield stayed crystal clear.

I have an HJC HSO-Classifieds-14. I had it as a motorcycle helmet and used to ride sleds with the shield cracked open (til 70mph) then it would "self close". I got fed up and bought a snowmobile shield for it and added the fighter jet mask and its SWEET. It has never fogged since and I wouln't pay more for a snowmobile helmet.
